Body in Harmony was established in 1993. Michelle started the business after having had Breast cancer and not liking the treatment that was offered and realising that there were gaps in what was offered. Knowing that stress plays a large part in affecting ones health, she wanted to be an active part in helping people to change their perceptions of how they can cope with all facets of living, to eliminate as much stress as possible.
Michelle's early childhood was spent at a wheat belt town, Mukinbudin, where she went to Mukinbudin Primary School for years 1 - 6. She then went to Perth where she attended St Hilda's School for Girls and also boarded there. After doing her Leaving, she qualified to go to University but chose to go to Churchlands Teachers College where she did a 3 year course in teaching and majored in psychology and Remedial education. Michelle taught primary children for 20 years, in both the country and the city and also instructed adults how to write and teach children with learning difficulties.
For 9 years, Michelle had a successful clinic in Willetton and relocated to Ellenbrook in 2002 when she moved in with Peter. They designed and built a new house in Repton Street, Dayton (formally West Swan), complete with a new Clinic Room and office and was operating there from March 2011 to April 2014. Sadly Michelle passed away on the 22nd July 2014. Michelle is greatly missed by all those that knew her.
